Every second of the day is a new moment, at the base of everything, everyone is a human and it is all of our first time living so everyone deserves some grace.

I am entering my second year at Mount Mercy University in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in Educational Studies in 2025. I have several years of experience working with children, adolescents, and teens with behavioral and mental health challenges as well as high-achieving and neurodivergent youth. I have spent time serving these populations in multiple settings, primarily at summer camps.

I am incredibly passionate about making sure everyone feels seen and heard; I live by my values of understanding, love, and caring. My style in the therapy room encompasses a collaborative, strength-based, and at times challenging approach. I encourage clients to be authentically themselves, and believe that honesty, curiosity, empathy, and compassion are essential when creating a safe and impactful therapeutic space for everyone. I strive to use elements of narrative, cognitive-based, and emotion-focused therapy models in my work.

My therapeutic interests include family systems theory, attachment theory, social-emotional development, ambiguous loss/grief, youth with a caregiver serving in the military, coping with a medical diagnosis, and exploration of identity. I will always makes sure to give a smile and a wave to anyone I see because I believe saying hi is one of the best things that we can do!
